Participating in service projects is an awesome way to be creative while serving in my community! My guild (Uhuru Quilters Guild) has taken on a wonderful project, making pocketed pillows for our local Sheriff’s department.  We are stuffing the pockets with storybooks, journals, dolls and stuffed animals! When officers go out on domestic calls, they will have something to give to women and children who find themselves in a difficult situation. So, if you are interested in stitching for a cause, please view the video below to see my tutorial.
